By working the corresponding lymphatic areas on the feet or hands, treatments of RLD can assist with the reduction of lymphoedema in much the same way as Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD).
Research has shown the RLD can significantly reduce swelling in women that suffer from lymphoedema after suffering from breast cancer. Any swelling that is helped by MLD treatments may also benefit from RLD.
